Energetic Hygiene + Next-Level Self-Care Practices for Sustainable Leadership…

Hello dear community! I hope to find you well and enjoying the blossoming spring. :)

You’ve probably heard me speak about this before…I truly believe that self-care is THE missing link to sustainable feminine leadership, and I believe that we, as women, are being called to reclaim our feminine roots through practicing the art of self-care with devotion as we step into more impactful roles of leadership.

It’s easy to busy ourselves, get wrapped up in our never-ending to-do lists, and focus on others first – while leaving ourselves and our self-care out of the equation. 

As a society, we’ve forgotten how essential it is to practice self-care consistently, and we’ve collectively bought into the belief that self-care is selfish, rather a radical act of self-love (for ourselves, our families and the communities we serve).

As space-holders, it’s imperative that we hone in on cultivating our self-care and “energetic hygiene” practices, by Grounding, Managing and Clearing our energy throughout the day so that we can lead sustainably long term…and spring is a powerful time to explore these practices as we slough off the stagnation of winter.

In the Soulstice Sisterhood Leadership Program, and at the Unleash Retreat (geared on the art of facilitation and holding space), we go into depth on this topic…

For now, I invite you to ask yourself how you’d like to ground your energy in the morning, manage it throughout the day and clear it in the evening so that you’re aligned and free of stuck/stagnant energy before retiring for the day.

Here are a few ideas to help you get started: (and feel free to look at this through the lens of space holding as well, using these practice before an event to Ground, during the gathering to Manage, and afterward to Clear.)

Start of Day: Ground

  • Meditation connecting w/body + Mama Earth
  • Breathwork Practices
  • Singing/Humming
  • Self-Massage

Throughout the Day: Manage

  • Breaks + Time Outs
  • Midday Booty Break Dance Sessions
  • Tapping/Patting/Bouncing the body
  • Active Rest

End of Day: Clear

  • Bathing Ritual/Foot Bath (with salt/crystals/herbs/oils)
  • Dry Brushing
  • Brain Dump Journaling Session
  • Clearing Bells/Rose Spray

I encourage you to choose 1-2 practices in each category that resonate for you to start incorporating into your days – and over time, you’ll begin to notice a BIG energetic difference!
